Linocuts and Stamp-Making with Brian Kelley - Sold Out
his workshop explores the basics of relief printmaking with linocuts. We will be working with small-format linocuts that can be used as stamps with or without a print press. Print techniques like this are ideal for projects such as holiday cards or ex libris (“from the library of _”) stamps for a personal library. Students will have the opportunity to make multiple stamps. Instruction will include going over the process of drafting out designs, transferring them to linocuts, issues of simplification/legibility. This is a good workshop for students who are new to printmaking, though some prior experience with drawing is useful.
